Mount and aim
Put the phone on a stand behind or beside the ball. Thwack tells you if it’s steady and level.

Lock the ball
Use a white or yellow ball. Tap it if you need to. Thwack locks focus and waits for the hit.

Swing
It grabs the frames around impact and tracks the ball for the first bit of flight.
What you need
If you can film a swing in daylight, you’re set.
- iPhone · iOS 17 or later, with a high-frame-rate camera
- Tripod · a steady mount. Buy one or print your own
- Ball · white or yellow, easy to see against the background
- Light · outdoor range or a bright bay. Night won’t cut it
